Very nice! Wish I could've heard them actually singing, though, instead of the overture.

Thank you so much! It looks amazing! And Elizabeth Loyacano looks beautiful!!!

...What happened next, was stranger still, a woman breathless and afraid, appeared out of the night, completely dressed in white. She had a secret she would tell, of one who had mistreated her. Her face and frightened gaze, my mind cannot erase...But then she ran from view. She looked so much like you...

Oh God I wish I could see it. But living no where near Las Vegas, I can't. I guess I'll just have to stick with the Broadway production, not that there's anything wrong with that!

Arghh! Grammar pet peeve #1: your vs you're. "Your" is a possessive pronoun. "You're" is the contraction of "you are." <<

I REALLY hope this stays open long enough for me to get out there and see it.

I'm praying it doesn't have the same fate as Avenue Q and Hairspray...

So what...I sing

Phantom is a bit "bigger" reputation wise than Avenue Q and Hairspray among the Non-theatre Community...so I believe it will run a long while, how long "LONG" is in Vegas is still to be determined...but I think this show will set that bar.

I know this is planning WAY ahead (since I'm not going until December), but does anyone know how high the stage is? From looking at the seating chart it looks like the front row center seats are seperate from the rest of the rows. If I'm going to pay $150 a ticket I don't want to have a sore neck the next morning.

I cant tell you how tall the stage is, but I can give you a little advice. go for the 125 or even 100 dollar tickets. the show is so huge, and if you are in the very front, your gonna have to be turning your head around alot to see whats going on around the theater, and looking up to the chandelier and such. i was in row P but i still felt pretty close to the stage. also, all the pyrotechnics were really bright and gave me a a little headache, I imagine if I was closer it would have been worse. hope this helps a little.

I know that Blue Man Group's theatre is 2 stories and I would think that Phantom's is also. As they are in the same hotel. Some of that may be flyspace. It is as tall as the one in Los Angeles (Aahmanson not Pantages) from the way it looked to me.

I think it is best to sit further back if you want to get not only the full effect of the sets, but the chandelier as well. I was put in row Q for a reason, the PR people wanted me to get the full effect of the show. So I think they were wise. I know people who sat up close missed some of the chandelier things and they also missed some of the other effects.

My friend sat in row "T" Monday night and said it was also good. Then for interaction with the cast sit on the side of aisel2 2 and maybe a few rows before row "Q." This show exceeds the boundries of the stage. :) That is all I am going to say. I know Andrew Lloyd Webber sat in the very back, orchestra, but I think he wanted to see audience reactions more than the show. My firend has also sat in front mezz and says it is good too for visual effects.

Yours,

Carolyn
