I don't understand why people do this, but you do have some stupid people out there that would pay that money to get that code when it is absolutely free somewhere else.

Okay, here's a question I honestly don't know the answer to. Does Broadway Box get any sort of kick back for every ticket sold through their site? If I go to the site and decide I want to purchase a ticket to Chicago. I click on the links provided on Broadway Box and get taken to telecharge to order the tickets. Does Broadway Box have a record of my clicking those links that they take to telecharge in order to receive payment? Or do they make most of their money from the ads? Is this person essentially stealing from BWW by selling the codes?

I don't think so. I don't think they are a "for profit" site. They just amass the information. (But I could be wrong about that.)


And it's things like this that make me hate people. (Not the op TELLING us, the fact that some schmoe DOES this.) I would guess that B'way Box could make them take it down....as it is THEIR information. They'd probably appreciate the heads up on the site.

But they still have to pay for the domain and pay people to run the site, right? I'm wondering where that money comes from.

Probably the advertising. The different codes serve as a tracking mechanism for the producers, not as a way for the discount code sites to get a kickback.
