How familiar are you guys with this show? Is My Funny Valentine sung by a man or a woman? I might want to do it for an audition, but if it's sung by a man in the show, i'm not sure it would be appropriate. Thoughts?

It is sung by a woman. She is singing of a man named Valentine.

I was in the original in 1937. The song is sung by a character named Billie to a young man named Valentine.
It depends on which version of Babes in Arms you're talking about.
You were in the show in 1937, or the 1937 original version?
Ah, BABES IN ARMS. The quintessential "Let's put on a show!" show. That musical had more hits songs than any other Rodgers and Hart show.
The original 1937 version!
Very cool dancer! I did this show as well, I played a chorus member at the time, but the show has great songs. Very fun show too. Based on summer stock theatre company. Some great songs from it are The lady is a tramp, My funny valentine, I wish i were in love again, Where or when, and my personal fav Johnny one note!!
