Tomorrow I am attempting to rush N2N. I can't get into the city until 647, cause that is when my train gets in. I think I will just sprint to the Booth. However, if I don't get tickets, I was thinking of maybe going over to the Shrek lottery. Does anyone know how hard this is?? If I lose the lotto, I will go over to the Shrek rush. Is it hard to get rush for Shrek?

You'll be fine that early in the morning for Shrek. It's an easy rush and probably an easy Lotto too, so you're likely to get seats no matter what (but if it's all the same, I hear the lotto seats are kind of terrible, so I'd spend the extra 10 bucks for the rush tix).

Thanks. Do you know where the rush seats are located?

Rush is just best available, usually in the mezz or the back of the orchestra.

I had luck with the Shrek lotto on my first attempt. Granted, I probably just got lucky. It didn't seem that crowded, but I know people did lose it. I'm assuming there are 2 shows tomorrow though, so it might get split up that way.

And, I think the lotto is based on availability too. It seemed that way. I saw some people end up in the box seats. I ended up in the front row on the right side, fortunately with the aisle seat. The stage was high, but I'm not going to complain considering I only paid $26.50. I think what might happen is they seat you based on the number in your party, and when you get to the box office. I saw a group win three times with a party of 5, so they were trying to get seated together.

The front row seats at Shrek are terrible on the sides. I got a lotto ticket for the third seat in on the left side but luckily I was able to move back a few rows to two empty seats with my friend. What a difference a few rows makes!

I rushed Shrek, rather than trying the lotto, and ended up all the way to the right in the back third of the orchestra, maybe row P or R? I think there was maybe one sight gag that I missed (and had already seen non-live), but otherwise it was perfect. The girl behind me, also on the aisle, had also gotten a student ticket, so I would think that they prefer to have the student tickets at the (well worthwhile view-wise, though I won't speak for the show itself) fringes.

What time did you get there? Could I just walk up and get tickets around like 10:30?

I got there at eleven thirty or so, I think? This was pre-Tonys, and actually probably near their lowest-selling period, so if they got a Tony boost, I don't know if my experience is applicable, but I definitely wasn't trying to get there right when the box office opened or anything.

I am possibly going to try to see Shrek on Thursday. I need three tickets, so would it be hard to win the lotto if me and my friend both enter? I've never done the lotto before. Also, is the rush policy really strict? Because I am going with my friend who is also a student, but her mom, who we are also going with, isn't obviously, and doesn't have an I.D.
