Just got back from the matinee of "TDC", and I can honestly say that I am officially falling in love with this show ! 3rd time seeing it, and much tighter now !
Audience ate it up !
Bob Martin in an absolute joy as "Man in Chair", but the thing that stood out for me this visit was Beth Leavel's performance, and specifically her "As We Stumble Along". Definitely one of my highlights of this past year in the theater.
I rank it up there right with LaChanze's "I'm Here"... as far "big numbers" go this theater season.
Also loved and appreciated Danny Burstein much more this time around... I can't stop saying "Whaaaaaatttt?" to myself !
Cant wait to go back again in June !!

After seeing it now 3 times myself...the music is much, much more memorable the 2nd and 3rd times around and sticks with you a lot more than just after time #1.
Other things that stand out more upon multiple viewings are indeed Beth Leavel, Danny Burstein, & Bob Martin.
If ANYONE from this show can win a Tony Award it is Beth Leavel and damn if she doesn't deserve it. What a consumate musical theatre professional. If she does indeed take home the prize in June, this fan will be THRILLED!

I think Beth Leavel is absolutely the best part of the show. She is an absolute treat to watch do the most fabulous "grande dame of the theatre" shtick this side of Bea Arthur in Mame. The only thing I wish is that her belt had been stronger on her boffo number "As We Stumble Along." I just wanted her to take it a step farther. I definately think that she should be nominated for a Best Supporting Tony.
