Anyone who tried to buy a ticket @ the Biltmore Theater is in for an ordeal from hell
Both times involved my wife's desire to see "Reckless" . I could care less one way or the other. We went into the lobby @ about 1 O clock. Even though the box office area was roped off the party there said they did not sell tickets between 1 & 2 due to the people in the lobby. Insane absolutely insane . Not exactly cutomer friendly . My wife said the hell with it.
A friend of hers wanted to buy us 2 tickets as a combination Christmas & birthday gift. She charged them & left them in my name to pick up. I tried to pick them up today & was told showing a photo id was not enough. I needed her friends charge card #. These people are absolutely insane. The alternative is to pick them up the day of the performance. It gets better. You pick them up 5 minutes before the performance. Five minutes . You than show them a photo ID & , if I had one, I assume my first born child & a pint of my blood. My wife told my friend to cancel the charge. Her friend may do that or have to schlep to the box office, pick them up & fed ex them to her.
Jesus Christ could come down from heaven & appear on the stage with Bill Clinton doing a night club act. I will never go anywhere near the Biltmore again. These people are absolute neandrathals. Nonsense like this is what turns people off theater going
I again reiterate -stay away from the Biltmore theater unless you want to get a major case of agita from the box office dolts
That really sucks--sorry you had to deal with that. Reckless has been on at TKTS sporadically during the week...at least one could avoid the box office that way? Such a shame, b/c the MTC is a great company. Are you going to write a letter of complaint? You totally should.
Complaint letters generally wind up in the circular file. I thought putting this up on the board would show more interest & it didn't. Let people find out the hard way. Me, I will just never go see anything in the Biltmore agian
Such a shame....and often the PTB have no idea what clueballs their box office staff are. Well, there is a ton of other theatre to see w/o dealing with those boneheads.
