Boubil and Schonberg

Hi there. Does anyone know what Boubil and Schonberg are up too? Are they still a writing team? I loved Miss Saigon, Les Miserables and Martin Guerre!

They are currently working on a musical called "The Pirate Queen" based on the real life of Grace O'Malley. Set in Ireland, with Riverdance be a bit of the show supposively.

I have no idea what stage of production it's in. There is verrry little information out about it sadly. They'll liekly take their time and perfect it before it gets public, they probably don't want to have the same thing happen that struck Martin Guerre.

Well then, as much as I love Boublil & Shoenberg, they'd better wait until the current trend of crass, in-your-face, self-aware, musical comedies dies down. I have a hunch that's what killed shows like Jane Eyre and Martin Guerre. By the time they came around, the public wanted more of The Producers, Hairspray, Spamelot, etc.

WHEN WILL IT END??!!
