Episode Two will feature Broadway stars Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll & Hyde, Jacques Brel Is Alive…) and Sarah Salztberg (Spelling Bee), and makes “extraordinarily witty” references to Urinetown, Jekyll & Hyde, Phantom of the Opera, the film The Cradle Will Rock, and the legal troubles of James Barbour.

The Episode Two plot description:

“Talent-free director Michael Gordon gets a gig directing Urinetown at a local high school. Will he keep his hands off the flirty jailbait lead actor? Will the Urinetown creators shut his production down for plagarism? Meanwhile, his friend Tommy lands a sweet audition -- for the lead role in "Jekyll and Hyde" -- so he takes an audition class from none other than Mr. This Is The Moment himself, Tony nominee Robert Cuccioli. Too much exposition? Maybe it is. Maybe it is.”

(Disclaimer: I know people involved.)

I wasn't a big fan of episode 1, as it strayed a little too close to characters I didn't like in "The Office", but it looks like the creative team are getting more comfortable with the characters and approaching their own voice with this one. Should be fun once it hits iTunes.

I can't wait to see more of Bob Cuccioli. What a great idea to have them audition the song for him!
