Aida, American Idiot, Anything Goes (Remake with the 1989 Revial Script), Assassins, Avenue Q, Billy Elliot (a Musical Remake!), The Book of Mormon, Caroline or Change, Carousel (Remake with Hugh Jackman), Chess, Company, Follies, Grey Gardens, Hair (because the first movie was a bastardization), In The Heights, Into the Woods, Jesus Christ Superstar (a proper one), La Cage Aux Folles, The Last Five Years, Mack and Mabel, Matilda, Merrily We Roll Along, Miss Saigon, Next to Normal (!!!!!!!!!), Passing Strange, Pippin, Ragtime, Sessical (animated), Spring Awakening, Sunday in the Park With George, Sunset Boulevard, Taboo, tick tick...BOOM, Tommy (Based on the version that came to Broadway), Urinetown, Wicked, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Posted: 10/14/12 at 9:08pmThe recorded MEMPHIS is available on Netflix if you have an account. I definitely think that WICKED and BOOK OF MORMON should get movies before this. Don't get me wrong, MEMPHIS was great, it's just not as worthy as WICKED or BOM. I think the WICKED movie would do very well. Many people who grew up knowing and loving the Wizard of Oz I'm sure would really love this, especially those dying to see it but can't afford the outragous ticket prices.

@johnnycantdecide so many of those shows you listed should NEVER be made into movies. (I.e. Hair, Spelling Bee, Avenue Q). So much would be lost if they aren't live.
I for one, think this could be fantastic if cast and directed well...
