OK, so I just got back from the show.
All I have to say is, WOW. It is great to see Stokes not as anyone but himself. He is just so great on the stage. He has this comic at one moment and a great romantic side at another. His voice, need I say anything about that? I don't remember the songs he sang - well, I do, but am too tired to write them out. Let's just say, if you are thinking about going, GO! This should not be missed.
I am glad I got to see him opening night. I know people who saw it in previews and said the show ran an hour. Not so. It ran about 1 hr 15, 1 hr 30. He came out for an encore and played some piano. Great. If you missed him in Man of La Mancha, definately come see the show. The price of admission alone is worth hearing him sing "Impossible Dream." I must say, he sang that song as BSM, not as Cervantes. And for the last two notes, he didn't use the mic and could still be heard over the music (a live 5 piece band). Nice, traditional theatr singing.
GO SEE LOVE/LIFE! Trust me, you will regret it if you don't.

I was there too! He was wonderful. As a warning for anyone who goes, the first half of the concert is very jazzy, so don't let that throw you. I went in expecting to hear standards (I'm not a huge jazz fan), and was a little worried after the first few songs that all he was going to do was jazz. But the second half is more geared toward a Broadway audience. Either way, he was fabulous and even though I don't care for jazz I still really enjoyed the first part.
"Impossible Dream" gave me goosebumps! Stokes rocks my world.

Yeah, I like Jazz so it was cool. I thought he did amazing - I loved when he was flirting with those two women...HILARIOUS!
