Overall, the numbers look great... except for a few shows. I hope the buzz surrounding "Looped" translates to better box office, over time. I'm so excited that I'll be able to see the show in June. Congrats to "Chicago". I'm amazed at its endurance. Sometimes it goes down, but it picks itself right up. Bravo! from Roman in Austin,Texas

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

If that is correct, that has to be some kind of record for a first week of previews for the ADAMS.
Looks like people want to see this show and it just might be critic proof.
Hmmm.

"...some kind of record for a first week of previews for the ADAMS..."

Possibly, but I imagine the vast majority of these tickets were sold months ago in pre-Chicago, pre-sale and before anyone knew anything about what it looked like on its feet...It probably has a pretty healthy advance for a while, although the last show that comes to mind in a similar situation was Young Frankenstein...so who knows?

WOW Addams Family. Wonder if once word gets out that it's a piece of crap the numbers will go down.

Quite possibly if The Addams Family did 8 shows that week, they might have beat out Wicked. No show has topped Wicked in years.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Just so you know, Young Frankenstein also had some sold-out weeks during previews following all the buzz around it. And a month or two later, it started discounting until it was only a memory...

Looks like THE MIRACLE WORKER's new marketing strategy is starting to prove itself...

Gotta love spring break!

"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert

Scottsacto,

They played Monday to Saturday, with only a matinee on Saturday (no Wednesday matinee). So only 7 shows.

Love the show (lulu), like the show a lot (me) or only a little (many of you), or outright hate it (Taylor et al), pretty impressive numbers. I hope they can keep it up. A popular hit ultimaytely helps all the shows on the street.
