Newsies takes in more than Oce for the first time with an 8 performance week since the Tony's.
Cinderella and Annie don't seem to be hurting from Matilda. In actuality I think Spring Break and competition from Matilda gave the shows a breath of fresh air by increasing the market.
Jekyll and Hyde won't extend....or might even close early if it keeps up the numbers since we all know that it will be a cold day in hell before critics give a Wildhorn show a rave.

At the rate Hardbody is losing money, how long can it hold on until they pull the plug? I'm surprised to see that Cinderella is still packing the Broadway even in a non holiday week. The word of mouth for the show must be pretty good.
Was hoping for a continued upward spiral for Hands. Look at those attendance numbers for Motown. Got to be one of the hottest tickets around.
One thing you've got to admit the Hardbody producers did right was to put enough cash aside to keep this one from closing on opening night.
That said, sales seem unlikely to pick up enough to make a difference in the next few weeks.
Any chance there's some Phish $$ being funneled into this?

Hardbody is losting $250K per week. Not sure if it's Phish money or not, but I'm certain the only reason they're still in the game is for Tony nominations. They've already communicated to the nomination committee to see the show ASAP!
I'm sure all involved would love to get several nominations which I think is quite likely even though I loathed the show. And a slew of nominations could bode well for a potential tour or at the very least regional licensing.
in any case, i look forward to the next show playing at the Atkinson.
Someone that works backstage for the show said it was closing. Could it have been venting and not specific? Indeed, but this one doesn't have legs.
And Motown continues to do amazing business...

Lots of schools were closed last week and many this week. Spring Break is different in different districts.
Has hardbody finished previews ?
Yes it has.
Hardbody's reviews were decent, too.
Thanks, I wonder how I missed them!
very pleased with the numbers fro Motown, Pippin & Kinky Boots. Still glad to see Once doing well, too.
Bwahahaha...."fro" Motown. Thanks for the smile!

"Chicago" had a fantastic week, even with the $200,000 drop. For the show, 700K is very good. I hope someone posts about Christine Pedi, so we can know how she's doing as Matron Mamma Morton. from RC in Austin, Texas
