Thanks Rob!

Woah Hairspray. I haven't seen those kind of numbers in quite awhile.

Jerry Matthers aka The Beaver must be helping but it's a great show no matter who is or isn't in it. After seeing Nikki Blonsky perform "Good Morning Baltimore" live in SF, I wonder if she will eventually join the Broadway show.

"I've lost everything! Luis, Marty, my baby with Chris, Chris himself, James. All I ever wanted was love." --Sheridan Crane "Passions" ------- "Housework is like bad sex. Every time I do it, I swear I'll never do it again til the next time company comes."--"Lulu" from "Can't Stop The Music" ----- "When the right doors didn't open for him, he went through the wrong ones" - "Sweet Bird of Youth" ------------ --------- "Passions" is uncancelled! yankee, I noticed that. Mostly every show went up, and SA lost a little. I was definitely not expecting to see that!

Very happy for Company & GG. And you go BaTB, I hope it hits the million mark again before closing!

Up or down, it should be doing Legally Blonde-like numbers, for a show with universal acclaim and 8 Tony Awards.

Goes to show that Tonys mean nothing...oh, wait. Company, Curtains, Grey Gardens, etc. disprove that.

I expect Drowsy to close by the end of the year. re: Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 6/24/2007

If it's pulling in those grosses now, I can only imagine the shape it'll be in come fall and winter.

I'm sure this has been answered plenty of times, but how does a show get a higher attendence than 100? Do they "accidently" sell too many tickets or something?

6 shows grossed more than $1 million. Is that a record? I feel it is...

Spring Awakening cannot gross more than I think $850,000 in that theatre.

... Legally Blonde is doing worse than SA, but such an acclaimed show should be doing Legally Blonde-like numbers? Huh?

ETA -- oh, you meant dollar amounts and not percentages. Nevermind.

I think 6 shows over $1 million is the current record, so, this week tied...

this is one of the best weeks legally blonde has had, hopefully its numbers will stay up in the high 900's to millions.

It'd be pretty hard for Spring Awakening to pull in grosses like Legally Blonde. When you consider that Spring Awakening had the fifth highest average ticket this past week and only had 129 more seats to sell, it would be damn near impossible to match Legally Blonde, when that show has a bit less than 5,000 more seats available each week.

I'm happy to see that Company had another good jump, I hope it can crack 70% in its final week!

EDIT- A sextuple post!! wow that's gotta be a record. Updated On: 6/25/07 at 05:03 PM
