Does this mean he's going to make another show where all the men and ladies of the company look like drag queens????
Were the Florida costumes that bad?

Posted: 7/14/03 at 1:20pmHis costumes in Hairspray are fantastic! I just think that he could have different views for different shows. You know what I mean?

Just comparing Cabaret with Hairspray shows he has range. I think he will do a splendid job with LSOH. He's also doing Boy From Oz and Never Gonna Dance.

There are some designers that no matter what the show, you know it was them that did the designs, but with William, it's hard to tell because his designs are always very different and fitting to the show...'his signature' fades away and you only see the character.

Posted: 7/15/03 at 8:29amThe costumes for Florida were dreadful, the "Audrey" costume made Alice look like a linebacker and weren't the least bit "trashy", and Seymour had on what I considered to a way too stylish get-up like a great buy at the Gap,the entire production design was flawed. Audrey II was WAY TOO BIG in it's final version and look no matter what Mr. William Ivy Long does it's going to take MAJOR re-thinking to correct the mistakes that were on that stage, but I am excited about the casting, when a little production of "Little Shop of Horrors" in Atlantic City drawfs a big budgeted bound for Broadway production in all areas, chiefly the talent on the stage, you better fix things..I am looking forward t oseeing what is done.
