Broadway descends on park for Sondheim fete

A bevy of Broadway names--including Liz Callaway, Danny Gurwin, Judy Kaye and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio--has signed on for the "Sondheim in the Park" celebration, slated for July 14-16 in Millennium Park in Chicago.

The centerpiece of the free event is two concerts at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion at 6:30 p.m. on July 14 and 7:30 p.m. on July 15, featuring the stars performing with the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus. Gary Griffin is directing the Stephen Sondheim-approved event, and Kevin Stites will conduct.
