#0CABARET OBC question...
Posted: 9/25/06 at 4:18pm

I was just looking through my CABARET playbill from the original production, and I noticed something strange.

My playbill is dated the week of October 17, 1966.

According to IBDB, CABARET started previews November 2, 1966.

How is this possible?

Secondly, my playbill from 1966 is from the Shubert Theatre.

However, the original production of CABARET, as listed on IBDB, never ran at the Shubert theatre.

Does anyone know what's up?

That's just...odd.

I'm gonna look into that.

Actually, I just figured it out.

It's probably from the Shubert Theatre in Boston, where CABARET had it's pre-Broadway tryout.

Damnit, I always answer my own questions...

I was going to ask if it was a pre-Broadway tryout.

I know there are several Shubert theatres.

Haha.
