#1CATCH ME new set design?
Posted: 2/11/11 at 9:30amI've just watched Broadway Beat video of CATCH ME IF YOU CAN rehersal. Did they change the set design from the Seattle run for Broadway? We can see a lot of stairs (like DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS). Any answers?

All of David Rockwell's set designs look the same so who knows.
I cant get over how cheap some of the hairspray sets looked from the front row.

I believe the production in Seattle wasn't mean to be the type of thing where everything transferred to the Broadway production. It was a regional "tryout" so everyone could see what it looked like on it's feet, then have some time to work on it before it arrived on Broadway. It makes sense that the set would be partially redesigned as well.

They were supposed to look cheap.
