Carnegie Mellon Summer?

has anyone here been to the Carnegie mellon summer program? and if so how did you like it? would you reccomend it? etc.

I was accepted for Musical Theatre, but didn't go. I've heard its wonderful, though!

It's a taste of a conservatory program. Introductory, but good, especially if you are interested in being accepted into the program...good way to establish your work with the faculty. Only a few of the actual year round faculty teach during the summer, but they are important ones. You could be accepted into the regular program after the audition at the end of the summer as an added incentive. But, that's basically a 1 out of 120 chance. But, go for the idea that it is a chance to see if you really want a conservatory training program for college. It's a taste.

I did the whole pre-college thing there several years ago, and am currently a student at CMU. Its a great program and definitly worth the time and effort. PM me if you have any questions.
