Cast members using twitter for announcements?
#1Cast members using twitter for announcements?
Posted: 5/3/11 at 10:01pmDo you guys think it is professional for cast members to make announcements about their current show on twitter, websites, etc. before official press announcements? KerryButler just tweeted "I'm not sure exactly when it comes out, but I think the music will be available online in two weeks" So excited for the CATCH ME recording but I'm curious as to what other people think about tweets like this...

+ she said she didn't know and that she thinks it would come out in 2 weeks.
It's not like she said "The CD will be released on May 14th at 3pm"
And typically - performers are one of the last to know when their CDs are going to be released and other show news. Quite often - it's one of you on Facebook, this message board or one of the websites they read (like BWW, Playbill, etc) where they find out.
