It's col that she's doing the original choreography (why they even have a "Plan B" is beyond me; there are plenty of actresses who can do the original choreography and play the role, s why hire those who can't?)

I also realize it is easy for Rita to do Chicago and say she does "not care what people think or say" when your husband is a mega-millionaire and whether you tank or not, your lifestyle is safe. Oh dear, will Chicago's plum roles become fodder for bored, rich housewives who don't give a lick? I hope not. I bless her for trying and love her to death, but she insults every actor who puts their neck out and HAS to care because the next job rides on this job.

I am sure you mean no disrespect to Rita but people generally react to "stars" doing theatre in such an ignorant way.

We all come to this business from different angles and with different goals. Many wanna-be film actors get there via the stage and vice-versa. Rita had a 15 year career in film and TV before she married Tom that was more successful than most actors careers.

Tom and Rita are also avid theatregoers and have shepherded many stage projects and stage to film projects.

Rita is hardly a bored house wife - she is quite busy having the vision to Produce stage to film phenomenon like "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" which has made $450 MILLION worldwide - far more money than Tom has EVER made on a single film - perhaps on all of his films combined. She is also the Producer of the future film adaptation of Mamma Mia.

When she said she "didn't care" she was refering to whether or not Chicago would change industry perception about who she is.

She has "put her neck" out there more times than most of us will ever dream of and is NOT a product of her husbands success.
