My brother in law wanted to buy us tickets as a Christmas present
He wanted to know if we wanted Company, Tarzan or another one I cannot remember. Chose Tarzan as the thought of seeing this Company & comparing it to the original just did not do it for me

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Wow, way to be too cool for school and not have enough humility to ask advice.
Neither of those choices are amazingly attractive to me.

You chose TARZAN over COMPANY?
That speaks volumes...

I am sorry but I am not a fan of the Doyle concept of actors playing instruments. I like an orchestra in the pit & actors on the stage acting & singing. I do not have to defend my choice to anyone. If you like his concept, great. I do not
I remember the original Company. With a normal staging of it, I would have said Company but not this one.

I do not like the concept pure & simple
Add to that, a neighbor in my building saw it & was not thrilled with it
