If Christian Borle had a good agent, it should have been his character that died on Smash.
The precedent is that director Gower Champion died on the day of the opening of 42nd Street.
Borle could then leave that sinking ship and skip off to playing the Baker in the Into the Woods movie or be the Matt Morrison replacement on Glee. But obviously Borle's agent isn't trying to get him EGOT status.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

A Borle cover of that song would be more interesting than his work on Smash.
And I'm surprised that Fair's version hasn't been used more often because it's really a great song.
