Cladwell-esque song and monologue?

Hi,
I'm looking for a musical theatre song that would fit the character of Cladwell from Urinetown. I also need a similar monologue - maybe an absurdist or melodramatic one?

I don't know about a monologue, but I used "Those Were the Good Old Days" from DAMN YANKEES for an audition for Cladwell, and got the role.

I was thinking that one of John Adams songs from 1776 or Higgins songs from My Fair Lady might be good choices too.
