Not that I'm terribly interested in this show or care to see it in it's final weeks, but while researching it, I found that the performers have alternates. How does the alternation work? And are they really doing a few shows of the week or are they u/s?
Thanks

Posted: 8/24/10 at 2:08amBoth casts are excellent. I'm partial to the first cast (all shows except Wed and Sat mats). Some I've spoken to prefer the second cast. The first cast are a bit more mature and so their show comes off as a bit more sophisticated. Second cast are younger and so their show is a bit more raw and pasionate. The chorus do both shows so it's only the 8 leads who change. If I could only see the show once I would see the first cast for John Seyla's solo, Keith and Karine doing That's Life, Charlie being Charlie. On a side note, I'm so glad to see the show up 20% in two weeks. Seems the show has an audience after all just not one that wants to pay $90 average to see it. Too late sadly. I wonder if they would consider closing MDQ instead and move CFA to the more appropriate Nederlander. I really think this show has an audienceits just in too big a theatre . If you see it report back and let me know what you think.

CFA is certainly one of those and in my opinion it should have opened in a more intimate theater like the Nederlander...PLEASE transfer it!!! Obviously the audience is there with the box office jump in the past 2 weeks with the lower average ticket prices. PS, I enjoy both casts for different reasons...see both!
