Posted: 5/3/11 at 11:12amWe talked about performing for an american audience and how much fun he and the cast are having doing the play. A very shy humble guy and enjoying 'the Fans' at the stage door. At least he was the night I was there.

Posted: 5/3/11 at 11:37amYou should have! He is very approachable. Even Mark Rylance seemed to enjoy the crowd. Especially John Gallagher Jr. He loves his fans, and spends alot of time talking, signing and taking pictures. Then again Gallagher was always this approachable. I would say, don't be shy, just do it, you will have a great time. The stage door experience can be a highlight for both the fan and the actor. It gives you a chance to tell them how you feel about their performance, the show etc. I think they would always love to hear that. And as I said, M. Crook was very nice.

Thanks for the pep talk! Perhaps I'll muster up the courage to stagedoor it one of these days. I think I'll be scared of Mark Rylance (because his performance was THAT moving) but I do agree that Mackenzie Crook seems to be more approachable. I'll probably say something stupid like "Uh, I loved you on 'The Office.'" Like nobody else has ever said that to him. :)
Maybe if I take a swig of some alcohol beforehand. Or a shot of Starbucks.
