Posted: 7/12/06 at 4:50pmI am auditioning for THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM, but for my audition, we have to have a Country Musical Theatre song to sing, 16 Bars. I dont know hardly any country musical theatre songs!!!! Can anyone help me?! I am a tenor II, belts up to AFlat above middle C. Please help!

It's actually Appalachian music in Robber Bridegroom, but if they are asking for country, you should look at Big River.
Any of Huck's songs should be in your range and he has several.

Big River was my first thought.
What about stuff from Best Little Whorehouse in Texas - though not much there for men...
What about Violet - like You're Different or Who'll Be the One If Not Me?
Maybe something from The Civil War - like The Day The Sun Stood Still, Virginia, Regimental Drummer, Old Grey Coat.
