I'm not familiar with the play, but is Noth supposed to be a classmate of the others (Gaffigan, Sutherland, Patric)? He's ten years older, and looks it.

Nice bit of family history in this production--Jason Patric is Jason Miller's son, and is playing the role that his father played (at some point) during the original Off-Broadway run.

I am excited for this production, even though I'm bummed that Schreiber isn't involved. Also, Schreiber to Jim Gaffigan doesn't seem like a natural transition. I hope we don't have another Patton Oswalt situation on our hands.

I saw this play in a regional production last year. It's a hard play to sit through, but these are all exactly the right people for it (although Schreiber is a great actor, Gaffigan is actually much better for the part, it's really a buffoon/clown part). cant wait to see this.

That's a silly statement. Just because one comedian didn't work out in a play, there should be concern that another comedian won't work out in a completely different play?

I was just thinking about a relatively inexperienced stage actor taking on a pretty involving role. The fact that they are both comedians is coincidental.

I thought Liev was officially set for this, what happened? I was so excited about the idea of a Schreiber/Mosher reunion. Does anyone know what went on with Schreiber's departure?

Per Riedel, it was Sutherland who took Liev's place, not Gaffigan.

Reidel is wrong. Liev was supposed to play George Sitkowski, the role Gaffigan is playing. Keifer is and always was playing James Daley.

Interesting that the Daley brothers are being played by two ex-boyfriends of Julia Roberts.

Perhaps he means that Sutherland replaced Liev as the "star" in the production? Or maybe he just has his facts wrong...
