. . . life was such that Mary could just come out and say: "Mr. Simon does not know how to communicate with actors, did not bother with the protocol of going through the director, behaved like an insensitive ass, and just minutes before the matinee, shook my confidence, paralizing me, and then fully expected me to swallow his unsolicited criticism and go out there and rescue his less than sensational piece of . . err . . . fluff."
Or in other instances this season:
"She didn't have the acting chops."
"She was so panicked, she self-medicated and frightened the other actors on stage."
"He's so vein, he thinks this play is about him . . . don't you, don't you, don't you?"
"He's a toxic person whose presence was infecting the entire
company."
"Apparently he isn't as committed to recovery as we all assumed he was."
"He doesn't know how to approach actors and only succeeds at paralilzing them and instilling their wrath."
"It would seem his last production was just a lucky fluke, where the actors directed themselves. He is truly not up to the task."
"There were personality conflicts, these people rubbed each other so the wrong way, no art could possibly happen."
Any Others?
