Mr R & I saw it yesterday
It is an old fashioned musical with a pit orchestra, an overture & great songs. After you take away the reprises, there are only 13 numbers unforyunately
The cast is first rate. Pierce has a pleasant voice but not terrifically powerful. Monk belts out her songs with gusto. The last time I saw Ziemba was Steel Pier & she was great here. The book along with the choreography & sets were very good
Some of the stand out numbers were "What Kind Of Man " for those not enamored of critics."Showpeople" is great as is "It's A Business"
Monk would be great in the role of Mama Rose in Gypsy. We heartily recommend it & look forward to the CD being released

You took the words of of my mouth regarding you Dolly
Go back to consoling David Wright. He has had a relapse @ the plate & I think his wax figure @ Madame Tussaud's might fare better at the plate than he would. Hell, even Channing would do better.

Just for future reference, it's Monk.
Glad you enjoyed the show.

Both great
By the way, this may be heresy to some, but I liked it better than GG

Really Roxy? I enjoyed both Curtains and Grey Gardens, but the overall tone of both is so different that I couldn't really compare them in my head. Maybe that's just me.
And speaking of karen ziemba, isn't it supposed to be her chatterbox interview on bww radio? i loved the michael rupert one but i got all excited for hers but no dice? maybe i'm mistaken. Didn't want to start a new thread so just thought i'd add that on.
