Cy Coleman/Wasserstein New Musical Postponed

The new Musical by the Fantastic Cy Coleman and incomprable Wendy Wasserstein entitled, "Pamela's First Musical," has been postponed at TheatreWorks in Palo Alto, CA. This is due to primarily to her illness.

I do hope they intend to produce this piece in the future. I have been longing to see it ever since I heard a song from the show entitled "It Started With A Dream" on Coleman's CD entitled the same. He Sings it as a duet with Lillias White and it is to die for.

I'm looking forward to seeing many new shows by the late Coleman I know he was working on dozens of shows, and I hope several get finished. He was an amazingly talented man and Broadway Truly misses him.

I didn't know this was going to be a musical! Pamela's First Musical is one of my favorite children's books.

This is a bit of sad news. I wonder what will become of Coleman's "Grace" musical as well? That show was just picking up speed in Europe when he passed.

Here's to hoping that Wasserstein recovers and Coleman's work with her makes it to the stage.

how is wendy? first we hear "gravely ill" and then nothing. people were writing epitaphs for her and i had a feeling she would get better and was berated for it. i guess i want some sort of update. and i will continue to send her healing intentions and blessings.
