Let us know how the opening number is coming along.
The only major flaw with the show when I saw it, and I've heard it is there main focus of concern.

I am not going tomorrow but i saw it recentlly and it was great. Have tons of fun!

"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

I agree -- the first number is very random and somewhat of a mess. I didn't know what to think until about fifteen minutes into the show. The rest of the show is a gem.

I have a ticket for next week. I love Norbert.
He blew me away in the Last Five Years. And Sherrie is the best.
I can't wait. Hear mixed things though.
I am going for fun.

The opening number isn't much of a song -- it is a glorified overture with the entire ensemble doing kind of random dancing all over the stage -- it doesn't do much establishment...They aren't singing but rather gliding across the stage for about two minutes -- then John Lithgow sings "Give Them What They Want" which is a good song but not the most banging way to start the show, especially after the two random minutes of dancing...It will be different by August 10th, I feel sure.

Corine, prepare to be blown away by what Norbert does in DRS.

Hope everyone going tomorrow has a great time.

JOHN LITHGOW I just realized, your last name is Butz! Both "Norbert" AND "Butz" are in your name! You must have gotten picked on a lot as a child!

DRS is a total blast and you'll be amazed at Norbert's performance. I've seen him in a few shows and I was completely surprised by how hilarious he was in this.

Can't wait to go back!

I'm so in love with this show. It's going to take over my life, and my bank account.

A work of art is an invitation to love.

They were supposed to have it frozen by yesterday (Friday).
The staging is great, but, i have to say, it is a big mess, especially when going in, not knowing what to expect...Gets ya kinda lost, ya know?

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

And Sherie is phenomenal. A big, Lombard-esque comedic performance!
