David Burtka

David Burtka#0

Posted: 9/20/06 at 11:44pm

I have been reading all of this stuff on David Burtka as an actor and singer, and as a person and it is so unreal to me. I went to highschool with David Burtka and was in choir with him and I thought he was a very nice person and always friendly and put a nice comment in my yearbook when he signed it.

I just can't believe he is getting all this talk of people wondering what he is doing and this and that and speculating about his life. I knew him pretty much all through high school through Choir and it is just so weird reading about all of you talking about him.

He's a good guy though from what I knew of him in high school.

He is a doll. And there are several preexisting threads on him. You should check them out.

I saw him in THE OPPOSITE OF SEX at the Williamstown Theatre Festival this past summer and he was such a doll. Not just extremely talented and good-looking (and dating Neil Patrick Harris), but a sweet person, too. So nice.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

This discussion has come up before. Some say the two are very open about their relationship, others say they keep it quiet.Either way it couldn't happen to two nicer people and I wish them well.

The interviews fro OPPOSITE OF SEX make it look ver interesting. Though I don't think anyone can outdo Lisa Kudrow from teh movie. And Johnny Galecki. (Any rumours about him?)

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

I tried watching David's OPPOSITE OF SEX interview more than once, and I just kept passing out the second he opened up his cute little mouth.
