Do You Approve?-What I Want to Use for Upcoming Auditions
#0Do You Approve?-What I Want to Use for Upcoming Auditions
Posted: 3/18/06 at 8:22pmOkay, I have 2 auditions at the end of June, Grease and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. I'm a soprano with a good mix. I want to be Sandy in Grease and Rosa in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. I'm using Frank Mills from Hair for Grease and Home from Phantom for The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Does that sound good?

Posted: 3/18/06 at 8:46pmI think they sound like great choices. Just make sure the pianist doesn't slow down "Frank Mills" or it gets kind of droning. My only suggestion might be to find a song that's a bit more rock/belt in casse they ask for a second selection for Grease.

Thank you! I just wanted to make sure. I work really hard to find right audition songs.
EDIT: The Grease audition is very unprofessional, so they won't ask for a second choice. If they like me for Sandy, they'll teach me a bit of a Sandy song to see if they like how it sounds.
