Donna vs Rosalind

I just got the OBC recording of Wonderful Town with Rosalind Russell. It is magnificent. I'm not sure how any of the critics compared Donna to Rosalind. This was obviously a show written for Rosalind Russell. I'm in hysterics listening to several of the songs, jokes that I didn't even realize could be funny when Donna said them. I'll have to wait for the new recording with Donna to see if I missed something at the performance I saw. (I'm obviously not going to pay money to see it again.)

P.S. While I hated Greg Edelman, George Gaynes is even worse on this CD. The character of Ruth fell in love with Kermit the Frog in the original!
