I just spent an absolutely marvelous hour listening to the XM Radio CH 28 "Downstage Center" interview with Gary Beach.

The interview was conducted mainly by the ON BROADWAY channel host John Von Susten, also with the other fellow that does the segment, but his name escapes me right now.

Except for a recording of "I am What I Am" that Gary did for a commercial, and the "Keep it Gay' track from THE PRODUCERS, it was a solid hour of interesting conversation about Gary, his career, Broadway, the Prod movie, and his obvious love of the theater and it's audiences.

He talks about the blizzard show, Sat evening a week or so ago, being on broadway after 9/11, and some funny behind the scenes story about what happens in a show.

Did you know he appeared in Annie with Betty Hutton?

A true joy and I suggest any Broadway fan that has XM Radio try and catch the interview.

(Isn't having XM Radio required equipment for a broadway fanatic?)

The other fellow on the interview was Andy Probst.

My apologies to Andy...

I love that man. It made me so happy to see a great big poster of him outside the Marquis.:) He's fantastic, and I hope he wins a whole bunch of stuff this year.

There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.
