Hi!
Apologies if this is on the wrong board. I wasn't sure whether it should go on the Broadway or Off-Broadway one, and this didn't really seem to match the threads on the Off-Topic board. I'm sort of new to the boards — I spent some time on here two years ago, but haven't been around since.
I'm considering becoming a Basic (with first-year discount) member of the Drama League, and I was wondering if any of you had experience being a member or had any advice on joining vs. not joining. I don't know too much about the Drama League, but when I was looking for info the other week, I came across a couple posts that suggested that its membership is comprised more of wealthy theatergoers than those directly involved with theater (producers, actors, directors, etc.). I'm not a wealthy theatergoer, but the Basic membership seems like it could be worth it, and it would be supporting a good cause.
But maybe it's not worth it? I think the DL membership could be a good way to get more "involved," but what do I know?
Any info/advice/experience would be greatly appreciated! Again, I'm sorry if this is on the wrong board (and I also apologize if this isn't an appropriate topic to post about!). Thanks!

Anyone who wants to pay the fee can join and vote in their awards. They do have some events, but most of them seem to be at 11:00 in the morning on a weekday, when most of the real world has to work.
I found it to be a waste of time and money.
