Does anyone know what kind of fabric was used to make her dress in act 2,i'm not copying it but i want some pants like that(ok kinda copying)

They used a bunch of different materials and fabrics for it.

There are actually two dresses. I don't know if they use both but there are two different black dresses shown in the souvenir program. One looks like shredded black lace and the other has lots of ruffles. I think the one we see more is the shredded lace but they're both gorgeous.

I agree they are both beautiful. I love how, from the distance and first glance you just think that its a black dress but upon closer inspection you see all the fine detail work and different fabrics that went into making it. So beautiful.

The ruffled dress broadwaybetty is talking about is the original dress used in the SF tryout-it was changed for the broadway run into the dress that you all are describing now. Just an FYI :)

Oh that explains it. :-P I thought they looked really different when I looked at pics from SF then from Broadway.

Yep, and if you look at the original "confrontation" photo (in front of the fallen house with the yellow brick road)-the bottom half of the old dress is similar to the new dresses entire composition. :)

yeah thats why I was confused. :-P The bottoms looked so similar but the rest looked completely different. haha glad I got that cleared up.

i dont know how its made or anything but im pretty sure Shoshana holds it up in the broadway.com video they put up recently. maybe you can try and look at it to get an idea.
