Just got back from seeing "24 is 10: The Best of the 24 Hour Plays" at the Lucille Lortel. There were 5 plays, each about 10-15 minutes, ranging from fair to amazing. The standout was the final play, called "That Other Person," which starred the aforementioned females. Interestingly enough, Cheyenne Jackson and Andrew McCarthy were supposed to play the 2 males (according to the website), but it wasn't them. Anyway, considering they had less than 24 hours to rehearse, it went pretty smoothly, compared to some of the other plays where you could tell they winged it at times. All three women were fantastic, and Rachel Dratch is absolutely hilarious. All three were also equally sweet after the show.
Sat next to Parker Posey, and saw lots of other familiar faces in the audience as well. All in all, a great night! I definitely recommend checking it out - it won't be the same shows, but they've picked their best shows from the past 10 years so you're bound to see some good ones!
I love Rachel Dratch. Debbie Downer

Thanks for your thoughts, JACXR71.
I am glad the unsinkable and delightful Liz Berkley was there. I think she's a trooper.

I love Rachel Dratch and Ally Sheedy. Rachel is so funny, and I am a fan of the brat pack, so I love my Ally. Glad to hear that their show went well.
I don't mean to threadjack but I just have to mention this - I recently saw the trailor for The Oh in Ohio (which stars Parker Posey), and I am can't wait to see that movie! It looks so funny, and had lots of actors that I like (namely Paul Rudd...and also Danny DeVito and Liza Minnelli).

well she certainly has guts, but then, to ever show your face again in public after making Showgirls, you'd have to.
Exactly ZoneAce. I guess Goldie Hawn gave Liz a pep talk after Showgirls and got Liz the part in First Wives Club. Goldie was a go-go/pole dancer early in her career and threw some compassion Liz's way. Really sweet of Goldie.
I like Elizabeth Berkley too. I'm glad that she seems to have found a niche in theater.
