Talking about the Little Shop of Horrors made me think about Ellen Greene. I saw her in the original show and of course, she played Audrey in the movie as well. I remember her also in Three Penny Opera (with Raul Julia). She's a fantastic talent. Is she appearing in any productions at this time? Anyone know?

Didn't she just do a cabaret show of some sort a couple weeks back? I remember people talking about it.

Wasn't she in the movie "Stepping Out"? LOL I was actually watching that the other day...also saw a younger Jane Krakowski and a thinner Liza Minnelli (and one of my favorites: Andrea Martin).

Ellen recently did an appearance at one of the smaller gay clubs (XL, maybe?) singing some songs. Not sure about her cabaret appearances or if she has a new CD out. She also turns up, I believe in a recurring infrequent role, on LAW & ORDER. She's definitely guested there.

She did an interview on Broadway.com a few weeks ago. The link is below. From what I heard, she really wanted to do Audrey on Broadway.

I think if Kerry doesn't do it, Ellen should just do it dammit! she still has part of her costumes... she is AUDREY and she is not too old. If Alice could play the role she still can.
