Hi guys,

I'm wondering if it would be easier for one to get an Actor's Equity card if they already had a Stagehand's?

I don't think it would be easier, but it was worth the ask.

Well, they aren't based on the same criteria, so I would say, no. For whatever its worth, I think it is much more difficult to get into the staghand unions.

"Stagehands" are part of IATSE not Equity.
Stage Managers are part of Equity if that is what you meant.
And it is extremely hard to get into Equity as as stage manager, probally harder than as an actor.

Not part of the question, but still pertaining to the issue at hand.

As a member of Equity you can buy into SAG, and vice versa.
