There is no way Mandy Gonzales is going to get a Best Actress nomination over Kerry Butler.
And one of the "experts" (Tom Oneil) lives in LA.Im not even sure he has seen any or all of the shows.

It really surprises me how much support Paulo Szot seems to have.
I agree MarkK, I mean I liked Mandy Gonzales and she has an amazing voice, but acting wise she didn't necessarily blow me away. I'd put Kerry Butler in there over her in a heartbeat.
Interesting that they are placing odds before the nominations even come out.
And who made them experts?
Well, it's not like the Tonys were ever hard to figure out - but there is always an upset or two that leaves more than one theater queen drowning in the sea of dramatics.
Yes, such as Kerry Butler winning Best Actress
Could you imagine the boards the next morning!!!
Kerry winning would be sweet.
A big reason XANADU works so well is because of Kerry's performance.
No one think Arthur Laurents will get a nod.
It hasn't been announced yet as to whether Laurents is eligible or not.
yes it has
The commitee went crazy and said he is.
Which opens up a whole can of worms.

Well he shouldn't win, but I really hope hes nominated.
Plus no one thinks IS HE DEAD? will be nominated for Best Play.
I honestly wonder in some cases if these people saw the same musicals/plays I did. (And the only thing I did not see this season was Cymbeline.)

So true, but to be honest, I often wonder the same thing when the nominations are announced.
blech. November better not get a nod. It was horrible.
Everyone seems to think In The Heights in the frontrunner, but after seeing it last night, I would vote for Passing Strange.
Agree that Kerry Butler is better than Mandy Gonzalez. I think this is a year where the awards are going to be scattered around.
Who the hell would predict a Stroman win for Young Frankenstein? She's overrated enough as it is.
Nobody predicted a Stroman win; just a nomination. From what I gathered, anything that had the number "1" next to it is what they think will win, and the rest of the numbers follow in terms of..what would be nominated 2nd, 3rd, etc. So anything on there without a 1, people are just predicting a nom.
They're numbered in order of their likeliness to win. One being the most, then 2, 3, and 4. So the ones that are numbered are the predicted nominees, but the order after 1 isn't arbitrary.

I loved Martha Plimpton in Cymbeline...it's a shame it closed too soon in the wake of excellent performances that will probablu edge her out of a nomination.

McDormand? Really? That's a joke and a half.
