I was given Eileen Darby's book STARS ON STAGE. The quality of the photographs is amazing. It is well worth getting.

I've seen many of these photos before, her work is basic viewing for those of us interested in the history of Broadway. But it's the in-between phots which never got published which are so startling. Looking at each contact sheet is a wonderful experience because of the orphan photos - shots of the orchestra and all the photos of the composers. A real eye-opener.
