Is this her first absence? I'm actually surprised she's been able to go on so long without missing in a role like this.

EDIT: The two performance day where Montego Glover went on as Celie for the first time was at the end of Janette's run back in February, not at the beginning of Fantasia's more recently as I first thought (she made her debut as Nettie opposite Fantasia just this last week.) This was indeed Fantasia's first absence, and I wish her a speedy recovery and return to form in the show.

There were rumors of all the American Idol winners returning for a performance on the the finale tomorrow, so she might be on a plane to L.A

This was Fantasia's first absence. She was not feeling well and is not on a plane to LA. It was not planned. She should be back tomorrow. Montego Glover gave an excellent performance under what I'm sure are difficult circumstances for her.

somethingwicked- I'm not sure if you meant that Montego made her debut as Nettie last week, and she played it opposite Fantasia, or if you meant that when she went on as Nettie last week, it was the first time she played it opposite Fantasia. The latter is true.

Montego is pretty fierce so hopefully lots of people stayed and watched.

She ran around summer stocks last summer playing Aida. Really phenom.
