Hi,
I don't know if any of you remember the movie with Kathleen Turner, Mara Wilson and Murray (sue me, I forgot.) "The Simple Wish". Mara's father (character in the movie) auditions for a musical of "Tale Of Two Cities" which (apparently) Lucy Simon penned the (real) songs for. At the end, the musical premieres and we hear a montage of songs from the show. The one that's stuck with me is the very last song "FAR, FAR BETTER" which is taken from a line in the book.
There was never a soundtrack released for "A Simple Wish" and I've never been able to track down any of those songs. I've searched for years, even to just hear "Far, Far Better" in a full version or something. Do these tracks exist? I'd just love to have them on CD, especially that song.
Yeah, I remembered. It took me an hour to drive to a library to find a copy of "Simple Wish" simply because I want to listen to Lucy Simon's score. It's a beautiful song.
