I was wondering if anyone has had any luck in obtaining Fences tickets recently. I am trying feverishly through Telecharge and nothing is coming up, I even did a general search from today until the last performance and still nothing came up.

Does anyone know if they've been releasing premium priced tickets at regular price before the performances and if so how in advance have they been doing this. I understand it's a hot-ticket and even those premium seats are probably being sold for full premium price.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The only tickets showing available are premium seats, I suppose if they are available closure to the date they will sell them at regular price, so keep checking or if possible, stop by the box office and ask.

I went the Wednesday after it opened using a discount code for rear mezz seats. When I purchased them (before opening night), the box office person was very nice and said that they were doing standing room spaces. I haven't followed up on that at all because I already went, so you might have to look into it, but I think he said they'd be in the back of the mezz or balcony. Not bad if you're just hoping to go and don't want to pay full premium price.

Stopped by the box office yesterday looking for a random decent seat for $120 or so...and the guy actually came up with a second row center ticket for next Wednesday afternoon, non-premium! Unfortunately, I had to work that day...but it DOES happen. I'll probably wind up doing the standing room on a day that I have the energy for it, because no play is worth $300 plus to me.

How early is necessary for standing room for a Sunday 3PM show?

I would be coming in from Boston and am thinking of making it a two day trip, staying overnight in a hotel and being able to be up early to line up at the Cort. I was wondering what others' experiences have been.

Also, does anyone know if they have a cancellation line? if premium seats are released at regular price maybe minutes prior to the show? Updated On: 5/29/10 at 01:23 AM

not sure about the cancellation line, but i showed up at about 12:45 for a 3 p.m. sunday show. this was 2 weeks ago. they give out the SRO tix at opening (12 on a sunday) so if you want to be sure i'd say get there an hour before if possible. but like i said i just showed up later on and they had a few left.

I tried to get standing room today and I got there 10mins before the box office opened and there was a huge line. It ended up selling out way before I got to the front. I probably picked a bad day with memorial day weekend though. Oh well. I'm going to give it another shot but probably get there an 1hr or 2 before the box office opens next time. Anyone want to wait with me? hah
