*BEWARE* I'm not really great with reviews, but I tried!Fosse Boi's Review of PIAZZA, BEE, RENT, CHICAGO, and PHANTOM

Ok, so over all it was a GREAT trip. I met Allic Balldwin(sp?) at PHANTOM!!! He was REALLY nice! If you want the whole story on that, ask!Fosse Boi's Review of PIAZZA, BEE, RENT, CHICAGO, and PHANTOM

PIAZZA(7-11)- I TOTALLY agree with what all of yall were saying about this show! IT WAS SOOOO GOOD! Kelly was the star of the night(or day since this was a mat.) for me. I was not expecting the wonderful performence that she gave! The whole thing was BEAUTIFUL!!! You've all read A TON of reviews on here about it, so I wont bore you with another one.Fosse Boi's Review of PIAZZA, BEE, RENT, CHICAGO, and PHANTOM

STAGE DOOR: I met most of the cast. I got their autographs and had my picture taken with them. I EVEN got to have a little conversation with Matthew Morrison!!!!!!! We talked about being in the bussness, and he wished me 'good luck'!!!!! I about died! I've NEVER been a fangirl like that! I'm not joking!!!!lol!

SPELLING BEE(7-11)-I dont see what all the ahype bout the show is. It was OK, in my opinion. It was really funny in some parts. The whole cast was EXCELENT, they were all very talented. We had an understudy on, Celia Keenan-Bolger who usually plays "Olive Ostrovsky" wasnt there, so we had Kate Wetherhead. She was fine! Nothing bad at all to say about her. She was very cute in her role.
STAND OUTS:
Lisa Howard(Rona Lisa Peretti)- I LOVED her! I love her voice! She was very good in her role, she was exaclty how elm. school teachers are. She kept making eye contact with me, which was awsome!

Deborah S. Craig(Marsy Park)- I dont know what it was about her, but I REALLY liked her! Though she was using a character voice, I could tell that the girl has A VOICE! I would LOVE to see her in something else.

Jose Llana(Chip Tolentino)- He was VERY good with his character and **POSSIBLE SPOILER** stayed in character VERY well when he was throwing out the candy! He didnt throw any in my section, though.Fosse Boi's Review of PIAZZA, BEE, RENT, CHICAGO, and PHANTOM lol!**END POSSIBLE SPOILER** The man can hit some high notes, from what I could tell. He kept making eye contact with me, so, once again, that was awsome!

STAGE DOOR(more like LOBBY):I, once again got pic.s and auto.s I met Dan Fogler(he was tired, but still really nice), Deborah S. Craig(I found out that her parents live in a city, close to mine! How cool!), and 3 others.

RENT, CHICAGO, and PHANTOM comming!!!Fosse Boi's Review of PIAZZA, BEE, RENT, CHICAGO, and PHANTOM

After writing this, "I dont see what all the ahype bout the show is. It was OK, in my opinion," you then created a list of only positive things to say about the show, the performers, the "awsome" eye contact they made with you, and how nice they were when you met them.

Hooray for both of the Asians in the show. Jose Llana was in Flower Drum Song, and I'm glad to see him onstage again. Marsy Park, I am so proud to see a fellow Korean onstage. Hehe, and she plays such a typical Korean girl too. Anyway, I thank you for the review. I am so excited... 5 days till I FINALLY see Piazza.

RENT(7-11)- WOW! I've seen this two times before, but it was like seeing it for the first time. The whole cast was perfect, there was not one weak link. This show is in GREAT hands, dont worry! I was amazed that they all belted with SUCH ease! They all did different riffs that were OMG!lol! I noticed something, there was a lot of different blocking. Such as in the very beginning(i.e. "December 24th 9 PM) everyone except Mark and Roger were in a simi-circle around them. They've never done that the other times I've seen it. There was some other stuff, but I dont remember them exactly.

Cary Shields(Roger)- OMG! He was a LITTLE nasil at the very beginning, but he lost that quickly. He was amazing! I LOVED him!!!!!! I REALLY hope I can see him before he leaves! I met him after the show, and he was REALLY nice! I was kind of expecting him to be kind of jockyish, bu he was the total opposite. He has the most BEAUTIFUL eyes I have EVER seen!re: Fosse Boi's Review of PIAZZA, BEE, RENT, CHICAGO, and PHANTOM

Matt Caplan(Mark)- He reminded me of Anthony Rapp, in a good way. I really liked him, a lot more than I did the first time I saw him!

Karmine Alers(Mimi)- OMG!!!! I have FINNALY found a Mimi that I like!!!!YAY!!!!! She was AMAZING! She belted, like the rest of them, with SUCH ease! Her "Another Day" was incredable. This is not a smash on her, but of the three Mimis I've seen, none iof them sing "Light My Candle" as high as Daphne seems to sing it on the CD. Why is that? After the show, when I got to meet her, I was supprised that she had a pretty strong Spaninsh accent. Its really awsome how she can cover it up on stage. Its also REALLY awsome to see a REAL Hispanic in the role thats written for a Hispanic!

Justin Johnson(Angel)- He did A LOT with the role, with was GREAT to see! He did this really cute Rockets dance thing when he does his little thing about NYC in the beginning of "Santa Fe". He is the best Angel I've seen, but Andy Sinor is very close behind.

Destan Owens(Collins)- OMG! My mother and I were crying buckets by the end of "I'll Cover You"(reprise)! An we have NEVER done that with that song! He and Justin and excelent chymistery.

Kelly Karbacz(Maureen)- She had a totally different look on the role, but it worked well. I know I said that there wasnt a weak link in the cast, she wasnt that bad, but she was probably it. When she did "Over the Moon", I preped my self for mooing. And noteven a second after she said, "Moo with me", I MOOED MY HEART OUT!!!lol! And she turned RIGHT to me and said, "YES! THANK YOU!!" HAH! Loved it! The only negitive thing IO have to say about her, is that her tone was a little high some times, an made it annoying.

Merle Dandridge(JoAnn)- I've always thought that the role of JoAnn was just....idk...under appriciated I guess. More like, always forgotten about. But this girl made that character SHINE! She really brought the character to life, which I LOVED! I actually like the character now.

I figured no one really cares about the stage door stuff, so I wont waist space with it.

CHICAGO and PHANTOM to come!

Karmine Alers is truly wonderful, with a crystalline belt voice that won't quit. And she is as sweet as can be, without a trace of divadom. I worked with her on a production of "Aida." She came in to block "Easy as Life" early one morning, and said, in a timid little voice, that she hoped we wouldn't mind if she marked through the rehearsal. Of course we agreed. She got up onstage and unleashed that powerful voice more strongly than ever! Afterwards, I asked, "THAT was marking?" She giggled and said, "I guess I got carried away."

I ask in all honesty/What would life be?/Without a song and a dance, what are we?/So I say "Thank you for the music/For giving it to me."
