What a great surprise today to see the article on Enrique! I had the pleasure of working with him years ago. I had just got my union card (IATSE) and was working as a local dresser in Cleveland OH. The national tour of Fame was in town and Enrique was a swing. The person he covered was out that week and Enrique had to go on for the first time in that role. He was very nervous. I was his dresser and found him to be such a sweet laid back guy. I joked around with him and tried to get him to relax. He was great in the role. At the end of the week he gave me the nicest letter that I have ever recieved from a performer. It was full of compliments and told me how I had made the week so easy for him. And it included a $100.00 tip! I called him that night to thank him and wound up being invited to a cast party. It was one of the best parties I have ever been too. Since that show my career has also grown. I have been wig and wardrobe supervisor on several national tours and have worked with many actors and celebrities. However I will always remember Enrique and that letter (which I still have) because in my opinion he is the true meaning of a star. He is talented, humble, sweet, and above all a class act. I am very proud of his accomplishments and hope he continues to go far!
