After seeing Urinetown on Broadway 20 times, I couldn't resist going down to Fort Worth, Texas over the Weekend to see the last five performances of the touring company. This made my final tally for the touring company 20 performances in seven different cities. There were no speeches at the end of the last show Sunday evening as there were at the last Broadway performance. The only difference I noticed at the last performance was that Senator Fipp finally gave Little Sally a coin when she requested, "Penny for a pee, Sir." Also, Jeff McCarthy got a nice hand when he came on stage at the beginning of the show. Even though I give a slight edge to the original Broadway Cast over the touring company, I think the touring company did an outstanding job with the show. Now on to Toronto July 2nd!
Aww, I miss Urinetown and I didn't even see the tour. I only got to see the Broadway cast 8 times.
I thought the cast in this show was excellent--I look forward to seeing Christiane Noll and Charlie Pollock in future Broadway shows. Good luck to Tom Hewitt with "Dracula".
I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! We need the sheet music out! We need the rights to become available!
And for the love of God, why didn't this show come to NC?
That cast was wonderful. Along with all the previous mentioned folks, I especially enjoyed Michael Minarik as Bobby (saw him fill in for Charlie Pollack at the end of the run in San Francisco) and Leslie Kritzer as Becky Two Shoes.
Wish I could go to Toronto!
Toronto's Bobby, Stephen Patterson
Don't you all know? URINETOWN is inside you. It always has been....
I know. I know. It's a slow night.
I am the river.
You are the river.
He is the river.
She is too...
=) When I saw the cast list for Dracula, I knew the name "Tom Hewitt" sounded familiar -- I saw him in the Urinetown tour. Anyone see it at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford, CT back in February?

Michael Minarik played Bobby Strong on Friday June 11th along with Robyn Kramer as Soupy Sue. They both did a good job. I also saw Michael do a great job as Old Man Strong/Hot Blades Harry earlier in the tour. Michael also sat with the audience on both Sunday performances for the first 40 minutes of the first act.
I saw Michael Minarik in SF as well and really enjoyed his performance as Bobby Strong. Wasn't he a Lockstock u/s as well? That would have been something...

I'm not positive, but I think Richard White was the Understudy for Lockstock. I saw Richard as both Fipp and Cladwell in Tempe, AZ when Ron Holgate was on vacation. He alternated with Dennis Kelley for the roll of Cladwell. Both were very good.
He and Michael Minarik were both u/s Lockstock. They doubled up u/s a lot. :)
I still wish they had moved it when they closed the Henry James. Such a great show, and they were still doing well, I don't get what the investors were thinking.
