Here is a selling point for the upcoming production of "Grease".Emphasize the fact that Sandy(Laura Osnes) is a brunette!

Who says that Blonds have all the fun?

There's a new Sandy for the 21st century. She's sweet, innocent, brunette? and she is about to rock your world!

Um, the original 1972 Broadway Sandy, Carole Demas was a brunette (as were several other Broadway 'Sandy's). Since Olivia Newton-John is blonde, it seems THAT created the 'blonde' prototype for the character. Prior to the film, Sandy's hair color was never an issue.

If they wig her, they will wig her with a brunette wig. She wouldn't be recognizeable as the "girl from tv" with a blond wig.

Also, theaterdude87, "You're the One that I Want", "Hopelessly Devoted to You" and "Sandy" are being added to the stage version for this revival. Also Danny will assumable be singing "Greased Lightening". Probably because it's easier then explaining to audience members that the movie they're familiar with was different than the original stage production.

"Since I don't Have You" isn't even part of the original score. It's a 50s pop song that was added to the last revival to give poor Sandy something to do.

I know that. I just thought it was something nice to be added to the show. Sandy is so under-used in the show as it is.
