Did anyone hear anything about this show coming back to Broadway with the great LuPone? I read taht it was a possibilty awhile back but never heard anything else about it....

Wickedboy, there hasn't been a thread about this in quite some time and some people may have new information. That was completely uncalled for.

Jenifer, as far as I know, both Laura and Patti are set to take Gypsy to the St. James this January after Grinch closes. I believe they're trying to get the entire cast from City Center, but nothing official has been announced. Others probably know more than I do though.

And where do you go for your info on Gypsy at the St.James? I think she had better stick to the old threads!

However, at this point, it's all still rumors.

Exactly! Most posters on here dont actualy work in the buiness and just speculate. The guys on here in the business know that Gypsy isnt going to the St.James' But Mr Riedel is always correct isnt he!

Wasn't the Riedel speculation some months ago? I'd think any production of GYPSY in NY at present would be a long shot at turning a profit. Surely anyone (the diehard fans excluded) who wanted to see Lupone do the show has had their opportunity and have been, and in view of the Peters revival short life who'd put money into another revival?
